As a kid, I thought the Fifth Dimension song “Age of Aquarius” was cool, since I’m an Aquarius. It had a kind of mystical melody and the words flowed together in motion. They go like this; “When the moon is in the seventh house, Jupiter aligns with Mars, and peace will guide the planets, and love will guide the stars. This is the dawn of the Age of Aquarius…” What does that mean? He goes on to mention a mystical crystal revelation and here the deception begins!

Once we become a true born again believer in the Son of God, He will remove the scales that once covered our eyes and reveal His mysteries little by little. These scales, as described in the Bible, are a covering over all because of sin. But as soon as a person realizes that Christ was the Son of God who died for those sins, repentance ensues, and then forgiveness is given as a free gift from a Father who loves His children more than they are. human words can express. But the best words to express this unconditional love is when we confess that Christ died for us and rose again to defeat sin, death, and hell. It is knowing without a shadow of a doubt that Christ was God incarnate. But not only does the deception of this eternal truth exist in today’s society, it was also rampant in the days after Christ’s resurrection.

The Apostle John, also known as the “beloved” of Christ, warned the people of his day to beware of false teaching and preaching. There is a saying that goes like this; “If it’s new, it’s not true, if it’s true, it’s not new.” So all this “New Age” movement of horoscopes, zodiacs, crystals, meditation and worship of the sun or other planets is something to be very careful about. Is not true. That’s not how you get to heaven. Satan has deceived people since the beginning of time. He has had plenty of time to perfect his schemes in the world. We may be smart through modern technologies and our intellect is more advanced, but our hearts remain hidden from the truth as we pursue these things that appeal to our minds. wills and emotions There are many spinoff religions that teach half-truths and half-lies. This is where the big deception begins. If any part is a lie, then everything is a lie. This is how Satan works. He is very cunning and manipulative. He knows the word of God inside and out. But he twists and changes things. If someone does not know the true word of God, he will be taken captive to Satan’s plan to possess his soul. John wrote about this very thing in 1 John chapter 4. Real things will always stand the test of time. The Word of God will never have a different meaning. And if someone tries to convince you otherwise, you better turn around and run from them.

“Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see if they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.” 1 John 4:1

John writes about “other” spirits to inform us that others exist, such as demonic spirits. These will produce false teachers, preachers and prophets. They propagate a false doctrine and people fall prey. It is a healthy response for a Christian to be skeptical of things that are said to him. If you have doubts, take a look. God’s Word describes people as sheep being led to the slaughter unless they know enough not to follow wolves in sheep’s clothing. Not all the people on TV who claim to be Christian are not necessarily. I have seen some who almost seem to put you in a trance as they tell you to plant a $58 seed for a lifetime income crop. If you know the Word of God, God does not promise prosperity through finances. He knows that not everyone could handle it. But Satan appeals to our carnal flesh. Money in itself is not bad, but if it takes the place of God it becomes the root of all evil, an idol. Show me anywhere in God’s Word where He tells us to sow $58 and everything will be fine! Imagine everyone who does. This false preacher is getting very rich and these followers are going broke! Juan tells us not to be naive.

“By this you know the Spirit of God: every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God; and every spirit that does not confess Jesus is not from God; This is the spirit of the antichrist, of which I have heard that it is coming, and now it is already in the world”. 1 John 4:2,3

And boy is it ever him! This is the true measure of the Word of God. If someone told you that Christ was just a man, a prophet of God, he is a born born of Satan. Remember, just because something is considered “religious” doesn’t make it right. The biggest hypocrites and liars in Jesus’ day were the Pharisees. He referred to them as vipors. His teachings were straight from hell. But any true believer knows that Christ was God incarnate. He came to earth as a man. Full humanity and full deity must be taught. He was fully divine and fully human and everything else is a lie. The Holy Spirit will testify to this, while the spirit of Satan will twist, distort, and deny the true nature of Jesus Christ. The sound doctrine of the Word of God is the only absolute and reliable norm. Everything else is false.

“You are of God, little children, and you have overcome them; for greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world. They belong to the world, that’s why they speak as if they belong to the world, and the world listens to them. .” 1 John 4:4,5

Believers must be alert and aware of false teachings, but not fear them. Once saved, always saved. Satan can never take you away. The indwelling of the Holy Spirit will point out the deceptions. As I mentioned earlier, God will remove the scales from our eyes and we will “see” the truth of him for what it really is. Learn to discern!

“We are of God; he who knows God listens to us; he who is not of God does not listen to us. In this we know the spirit of truth and the spirit of error.” 1 John 4:6

A true believer believes all of God’s Word from the Old Testament to the New Testament. It all lines up and is the only standard of any true teacher, preacher or prophet. In contrast to this, demon-inspired spirits will be taught to reject God’s Word or add to His Word. The sad thing is that anyone who listens and trusts this false doctrine

will surely perish. There are no repeats. We have today, we have this one chance to be saved. Before you think this is nonsense because God loves everyone and would not send anyone to hell, just know this; that God does not exist. He is a figment of your imagination. When you know God for who he really is, you know that his Word says that we should fear him, that is the beginning of wisdom. If his “personal belief” is based on a good feeling about yourself, he is disappointed. A God who does not judge the wicked simply does not exist. This is the oldest lie in the book when Satan hissed, “Thou shalt certainly not die.” But both Eve and Adam died spiritually the day they believed Satan. He still lies to people today. You are one of them?

It is never too late to come to Christ. He is the ONLY way to heaven. His Word is truth and eternal life. If you feel ashamed of your sins, all you need to do is repeat this prayer from your heart and mean it.

“Dear Heavenly Father, I am a sinner. Please forgive me for all my sins. I believe that Your Son Jesus Christ lived and died on that cross to save me. I should have been on that cross, but You loved me so much. You gave Your only begotten Son to die in my place. I believe he rose again, he defeated sin, death, and hell. Now he sits at your right hand and intercedes for me. Lord Jesus, come and live within me. Take complete control. I give you all .

Repentance doesn’t just say “I’m sorry,” it also says, “May the Son shine on me!”
