It seems that this nation, instead of proactively addressing the true needs and priorities that are out there, simply keeps procrastinating and procrastinating, taking timely and well-considered action, in the best interests of our country, citizens, and planet, both in the present as in the future. I’ve gotten to the point where I either approve of the famous line from the movie, Red, “I’m fucking mad, and I’m not going to take it anymore”, or become increasingly apathetic, because it seems that nothing changes, for the better, despite who we choose! Have you ever wondered if one of the few well-meaning elected officials asks himself why he wanted that job, out of obvious frustration and disappointment caused largely by a lack of necessities? , get, achieved? Even those things that seem to be common sense, not political, still fall into the partisan traps of the American political system! With that in mind, this article will briefly attempt to identify, consider, review, and discuss 5 specific reasons why I feel the way I feel.
1. Nothing significant/necessary changes or is addressed, realistically: Too often, elected officials, instead of serving and representing the citizens and the relevant and sustainable needs and priorities of our nation and planet, only witness empty promises and rhetoric, procrastination (postponing, over and over again). , and your personal/political agenda, and/or, self-interest, prioritized, over common sense, and the best interests of the world! We have been warned, for many decades, about the need to protect our environment, to preserve, clean air and water and therefore public health, in the present and in the future! However, some today still claim this to be some kind of hoax, denying the need to act sooner rather than later! Likewise, Climate Change deniers hurt us all! The selective interpretation of our rights and freedoms, instead of protecting all of our constitutional guarantees, threatens the identity of the United States! Anyway, many politicians seem not to care or find it inconvenient, many truths etc!
two. Both sides lie. and they are hypocrites It’s not like one political side is pure while the other isn’t! Rather, we witness, where both sides lie, when appropriate, and support their views, and proceed, being hypocritical at best! How else can we explain, the same people who oppose a woman’s right to choose don’t support, need, common sense, public health measures, gun safety controls, etc.?
3. Money has too much influence, in politics!: The influence of money, in terms of politics and access, hurts the ideology, our nation, was founded! We must restrict how our elections and campaigns are run, including the ridiculous expenses/costs and length of the campaign process!
Four. Little common sense!: Unfortunately, even more than in many other aspects of our lives, little common sense seems to be used in public leadership, etc. Why is it so weird? Why do we keep making the same mistakes over and over again? What happens to those candidates, when they become office holders?
5. Too Much Populist Politics/Not Enough Viable Solutions: When the emphasis is on populist politics, instead of doing what is best, necessary, relevant and sustainable, it clearly demonstrates a serious flaw in our political system and, to a large extent, explains why so many, so many, convert. out, for politics – as – usual!
Wake up, United States, and demand changes, for the better, sooner rather than later, or, perhaps it is too late, to avoid the loss of this nation’s ideology, its raison d’être and the most relevant, sustainable path forward! I am far – less than confident that we will be able to achieve these necessary changes, before it is too late!
