There are several reasons why men hide their feelings not only from women, but also tend to hide their feelings from everyone. As a gender, the male sex is not expressive about their feelings and then, depending on their personality, they react differently to situations, some guidelines that tell you why they hide their feelings.
It is their conditioning as they grow.
They grow up hearing ‘big boys don’t cry’ or that emotional and sensitive boys are ‘sissies’ so they learn to hide their feelings so no one makes fun of them. This becomes a habit and due to social conditioning they do not open. They fall in love like girls, but when girls talk about it, they keep it to themselves.
They may do it to protect themselves
There are many guys who are actually sensitive but don’t show their feelings to protect themselves. They can share that they care about you and trust you, and if you respect him, he will be deeply touched. But if you break their trust, it’s like they’ve been stabbed and that’s why they hide their emotions.
Guys see it as a sign of weakness.
They may believe that showing their feelings is a sign of weakness and makes them less manly. They think that guys are supposed to be protective and strong and that their partner may not like it if they are not manly enough.
they are insecure
If the guy is insecure in the relationship and not sure about your feelings for him, he may not open up to you. He needs to know that you love and trust him before he’s motivated to get personal and share his feelings.
Guys are hesitant to bare everything
Their inherent nature makes it difficult for them to uncover everything and reveal their innermost thoughts and feelings. Women can easily talk about their feelings in the relationship, but men hesitate and cannot be as expressive and also feel exposed as if a protective layer has been removed.
They fear rejection
Unless they are sure that they will be loved in the same way, they will not let you know their feelings. Their fear of rejection makes them cautious; they need to be sure of their partner before they open up.
They appreciate their independence
They love their freedom and do not want to let go of it under any circumstances. They cling to their stress, insecurities or dreams as they feel that unloading all their fears can make them seem less strong or less of a man.
