If you plan to store your Boliy generator for 4 months or more, the manufacturer recommends taking long-term storage precautions. This will protect against fluid deterioration and internal damage. You can do this on the Boliy Pro3600Si and Pro3600Si/E electric start.
FUEL DRAIN SYSTEM
To drain the fuel from the system for long-term storage, do the following:
A. Turn the fuel cock to the ON position. This is located under the recoil starter.
B. Start the engine and let it run until it stops. This will drain the tank and fuel lines.
C. To drain excess fuel from the carburetor float bowl, loosen the screw on the drain plug attached to the plastic drain tube coming out of the rear panel of the generator. The drain screw can be reached with a flat head screwdriver through the top left hole in the vent on the back panel.
ATTENTION: do not completely remove the screw; to replace it, it will be necessary to pull the back panel of the generator.
TIP: Taking a flashlight and shining a beam through the spark plug port will help you see the drain bolt!
PREPARING THE ENGINE FOR STORAGE:
To prepare the engine for long-term storage, do the following:
A. Remove the spark plug from the cylinder. In the spark plug hole for a small amount (about 1 tablespoon) of motor oil weight 10W 30 or 10W 40.
B. Reinstall the plug; With the engine switch OFF, use the recoil starter to gently crank the engine 2 to 3 times.
C. Gently pull the recoil starter one last time, but only until you begin to feel compression force.
This indicates that the piston is in the up position, where you want it to be for storage.
REMEMBER: It is not necessary to drain the engine oil before storage. But when the generator comes out of storage, before refueling and putting it back into operation, the oil will need to be replaced.
