Organizing our homes is a must, as clutter can bring out the best in us and cause clutter. Our living rooms, kitchens, bathrooms, laundry rooms, bedrooms, and offices can get out of control over time. Below are some tips on how to organize our homes to provide a less cluttered condition for us to live in.
Okay, we look around and see items on the floor, thrown on furniture, out of their respective container/cabinet, creating a space of pure disappointment. No matter what room this disorganized affair is in, there are ways to keep these items out of harm’s way while also making it easier to organize in the process.
Storage
1) Containers: It’s always a good idea to have extra containers of various sizes on hand. It is recommended to minimize the total of a given item within the space allowed within a container. Excess is usually the problem behind clutter and clutter. If an item becomes too much, it might be a good idea to start considering replacing some items.
De-disorder versus Disorder
You may ask, “it’s so hard to stop buying certain items, especially when they’re on sale.”
You are absolutely right, once you have established the habit of buying something you like, it can be quite difficult to stop buying it. And that is a big problem why a house can be so messy.
Well, the best solution to this is: “If you don’t need it, don’t buy it.” If you’re more serious about keeping your home clutter-free than cluttering it, then you’ll need to minimize your expenses. If you don’t get a handle, sooner or later the containers will become a problem.

2) Labels: Labeling your bins will be better than putting items in the wrong bins, digging, throwing unrelated items, getting confused, and abandoning the bin system altogether. Adhere to a labeling system, like summer shirts in this bin, winter pants in this, superhero socks in this, instead of just throwing away all the excess. Research
When it comes to clothing and kitchen appliances/tools, we tend to keep buying and buying and buying, whether it’s because they look great and go with a set or because they’re on sale. It’s a good idea to do your research before you buy. [consider the reviews completely] as the items may appear to portray what you are looking for, but you may soon discover after purchasing that they do not serve the purpose for which you have attended. Many of us keep items instead of returning them, which in turn creates unnecessary clutter.
Updating our Houses
3) Regular Updates – Check your bins, cabinets, drawers, and anywhere else you store items on a regular basis [every 2- 4 weeks] will provide updates on items you use and don’t use. Knowing this will help you decide whether or not items are worth keeping, and if you think it’s time to toss an item or take it to Goodwill, by all means, pack up your vehicle and head out. There is no point in storing items that are not used, especially if you are looking to keep your home tidy and organized.

4) Stick to a list: Never cheat your list and go behind their back. Find out what you want and need before you leave home and promise yourself that you will not be seduced by the beauties of other items that will surround you on this shopping spree. This is the perfect opportunity to check out your bins, cupboards, drawers, and cabinets to see how much room you have to add things.
